MOTORCYCLE AWARENESS FOUNDATION
Gene’s mom Diane and I became friends after Gene’s death on May 19, 2005 at the age of 31. Diane saw our bumper sticker and ordered her first 100 around July of 2005. Diane knew she wanted to do something in Gene’s memory and thought the bumper sticker was a good idea. When her order reached 1000, I said “this is a lady I have to meet."
Diane had the same determination to have people aware of motorcycles as I did. We started emailing each other with me offering the little bit of help I could to Diane through her long days of pain and mourning. I think that giving Diane someone she could talk to, that truly understood her pain, helped a little. With our pain of losing our sons, we became sisters of the heart.
Diane started THE GENE PEARSON MOTORCYCLES AWARENESS FOUNDATION to help distribute the sticker. She also has gotten the slogan placed on cab toppers, billboards, bus stop benches and the sides of buses. If you can help Diane please go to their web site for more information.
